my 1990 maxima was left undriven for a few months. i put a new battery in it and get a flashing "security' light on the dash. is there some overide for it? how do i get around it?
I have the same isue with my 1992Maxima. There is a switch in the gear selector that can fail due to misalignment or too much slack in the linkage. On my car I have to push the lever as far forward as it will go. The car starts no problem. So, try wiggling the gear selector when turning the key. Let us know if that works will you?
