97 maxima, worth it???

hey wuts up 4th gen max people...i found a 97 maxima se with 112k miles on it for $400 bucks...only thing is that it needs an interior.. and grille...the car is fine a recovered theft, but not reported to insurance...is it worth it for me to fix and use as a beater? i use to have a 99 se which left me at 182k and luv'd it!!! all suggestions welcome...

good price. I'd say for $400, you can't go wrong. If you hate it, you can easily get your money back.

Just be sure you know what it needs and you know you can handle it. I bought a 93 G20 that needed some work, it just became a nightmare and I sold it after it broke down for the last time.

oh yea, I see them plenty at the junk yards, parts should be easy as long as the interior hasn't been sitting and rotting in the sun.

Anything under $500 or so, that RUNS, is probably gonna be a good deal.

definitely, if youve got the time/money just re-interior it and re-sell for nice profit

but, by no interior do you mean NO interior?, just bare panels?, no steering wheel? seats?
