95 Nissan Maxima Bad Axles? or tranny?

My friend is selling his Clean 95 Nissan Maxima 3.0 v6. it starts and runs good but the transmition has a problem. I put it into Drive and gas it little gas and it goes through its gears and speedometer goes up but car does not move.

While the speedometer said i was going 45MPH I looked at the axles on both sides of the tranny and their not spinning at all. usually when half the shaft is spinning and the other end don't move when the axles are bad.

But the only thing i can see is that the axles look like their a bit out of the transmition if that possible. maybe not all the way pushed in? or is the transmition bad on it?

Thanks guys!!!
