Question I want to put 22's on my 2000 maxima. What else do I need?

I would like to put 22" rims on my 2000 maxima but I don't know what else I'm gonna need to get to make it work. Do I need a suspension lift, new steering, new axles, etc. If I"ll have to spend more on other mods than I will on rims, I wont do it. I'd appreciate any feedback I can get on the subject.
Please help me out if you know anything.

dont get it man, if i was u, i would stick with 19s, cause 22's thats going to look like a Big Ugly Car, with HUGE WHEEL PACE, so if i was you, i would get 19's and lower it (get some tokico illuminas with tein s tech springs)
and it'll look really low, and nice.......
good luck man

I want the "big ugly car" look because I don't plan on tuning the engine. If I wanted to do that, I wouldn't have such a big car. I've never seen a maxima on big rims and I have a hunch it will look good. I just need to know how much it'll cost me to put 22's on it, but thanks for your concern. If I decide to downsize, it'll be 20's though. Also, if i do decide to put on 20's instead, how much will I have to spend to get that done?

Here's an 04 with 22s:

Hard to tell exactly how lo-pro the tires are but that's GOTTA rub!

P.S. Those rims are hideous.

You should stick with 19s or 20, not only for looks, but also ride.

They also make 50" fine spoke wheels , they are designed for the escalade but im sure they will fit your car.

LOL. I'm sorry, but I can't stop laughing. 22s on a maxima? OMG thats so funny.

Your car will handle like crap, you'll scratch up your rims if you turn at a normal speed cause the tires will be too low profile to protect the rim. It also is just gonna make the car look like ghetto ass trash you stole during huricane katrina. That '03 looks aweful as well, IMO. Not to mention the wheel enerticia of 22s' (especially crome) will make your car accelerate like grandma's Delta 88. It will also have about the same ride height as her old delta.

I hope you're kidding about not looking bad. Those rims are ugly as hell.
I've only seen 2 maximas on 22's and they both looked idiotic.

Thumbs down Crazy Wack

I can believe that someone would put some hideous 22's on a midsize sedan. What next 28s and a 6" lift? Wait I bet someone already has that! Why dont you buy a truck it wouldn't take so long to figure out if the wheels would fit.

In my opinion 22's will be too much for a Max, but he did ask for some help and it is his ride and money. Gnapp, the main thing to watch out for is wheel rub. You have to make sure the offset and dimensions are within the OEM limits.

What do you do with your factory wheels?

I would be interested in purchasing a nice set of 15" mag wheels for a 1997 Maxima. I think 1995-1999 are all compatible.

i dont know why people try to put big wheels on some of these sedans i mean if u want to put 22 on a max u picked the wrong car get u a q45 or something big all its gonna do is mess everything up and end up costing more money stick with 19 or less.
