when to change automatic trans fluid

I have 03 Nissan Maxima with 68000 miles. Want to know recommendation on fluid flush versus fluid change with filter change. I have been getting conflicting stories. Car runs smooth and great. Color still pink.

The FSM recomends drain and refill every 30k and flush and 90k (iirc) don't just let it go thats why peoples trannys end up prematurly failing. If you have never done it before don't do a flush it forces all the gunk in there back through the gears and into the cooling lines and can result in failure. Do a mini flush by draning and refiling the fluid 3 times with about 200 miles inbetween that should replace all the old worn fluid with new. Granted the trany will probably last over 100k without any fluid changes but with regularly scheduled changes it will last over 250k.
