Possible bad alternator for '01 Maxima?

I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima with 239,000 miles on it. Recently, I noticed that it will sometimes idle rough when I first start it, as if it wants to die, but it never does and it smooths out as the car warms up. Also, I noticed that my power windows go up a lot slower than they used to. Then, today while I was out and about, after the car had been sitting for about an hour, I went to start it and it did nothing, but all the lights came on. I turned the key to off and tried it again and it started as normal. I believe these are signs of my alternator going bad, especially since it's the original one. Would anyone else agree?

that maybe the culprit autozone or advance auto can test the alternator for you. and if it is bad make sure u bench test the one they give u so u wont have to do it twice and test the battery while u are at the store too.clean the terminals on the battery and make sure they connectors are secured tightly. with the high miles if u havent had a tune up, i suggest u do one.
