actually i just came up with a solution for this. I did this and it works.
I just wired up the dome light to the ignition light ring light circuit.

In the driver side a pillar there is a red wire with a black stripe, its the negative wire for the dome light. if you cut it and extend it from the domelight side and splice it into the negative wire on the ignition light ring (also a red wire with a black stripe) it makes the dome light work almost as it did.

the only difference is that it isnt timed for 30sec after you lock your door. (it goes off immediately when you hit the lock button on your key fob)
Basically it comes on and off exactly as your ignition light ring does.
