02-04 Nissan Altima SP Racing Grill JDM grille NISMO

WTF? Check the auction. Is this another copy of the AT grill. And hopefully Shortee knows that they are using his car in their auction pic.

Nice. That is a direct copy of my S2 grille because I created the design of the top of the part from scratch. Its totally different from the factory part in that area. I made those raised bulges with my own hands to make it fit better as a fiberglass part, and to put a design signature into it so I can identify direct copies like this one. Not that I can do anything about it really.

Oh well - everybody out to save a buck can run off and buy the cheap rip-off grille now instead of the original so SilviaParts can copy more original designs. Its easy to sell the stuff cheap when you're just knocking off the designs of other companies and have no development costs involved. Those who care can buy the original and support a company dedicated to producing original parts for our cars.

If I were AT...I wouldnt let this go. They work way too hard to make a quality product for it to be ripped off by someone else. Companies that steal shit from other companies just makes me sick. I wonder if theyve seen this thread yet because obviously theyre in here.

I welcomed them with this email:

Nice, very nice. I would just like to congratulate you on leaching off of somebody elses design. You truly are innovative. You should change your logo to read "YOU CAN COUNT ON US TO STEAL OTHER COMPANIES SHIT" instead of "YOU CAN COUNT ON US TO MAKE YOUR CAR LOOK BETTER!" Take your replica of the AT Altima grill off your product line and try making something on your own. Get the dick out of your ass and think for yourself. You didn't even post a picture of a car with "your" grill on it or get permission to post that car. You have successfully brought yourself and your company to a level comparable to a piece of shit. I commend you.

Makes you wonder if they stole the design for their other auctions.

I think Xtreme email the link to this thread to them. eBay can be weird at times..I do know that they are suppposed to use pics of the actual product. Whomevers car is being used at the time, should contact ebay..I would do a copy screen though and save it out for proof.

I haven't emailed the link yet cause I would like them to get busted before they can change anything. Their website sucks some major ass. I think a fourth grader could have done better.

I missed it when they had Shortee's car on there. Did it show the Active Tuning banner on the windshield too? Now that would be ironic. Too bad somebody didn't save that page before they changed it.

No they used this picture

They have to be VERY familar with this website to have found that picture. I dont even have a link in my signiture to my car.

It would have been so ignorant of them if they would have used this picture w/ the same pose.

At least the auction runs for almost 6 more days as of this posting, so Dave will be back in plenty of time for you guys to come up with something.

I wish you guys would of had some sort of "Lock Down" on that design to prevent things like this. I do not know if eBay would shut down his auction for it, but I would at least try to email them and tell your side of the story. I have been eBaying for about 6 years, and I have seen some strange things they do and don't do.

He could be ripping off a lot of designs.

Unfortunately the quality of AT Dave's website tends to mislead companies into believing that there is a huge market for these grilles. I wish something like a grille could be patented, but there is nothing that unique about the product (other than its shape) that would be worthy of a patent. Even if there was, the cost of the patent is just too high.

I saved the original auction page. The S5s start shipping Monday I wonder if they have one on order to copy already??

Photochop? They took a picture from this site. It was originally Shortee's car and now it's Djsung's car.
