was cruising at 100mph tonight and i felt it coming from the rear tires/rims slightly....if i go faster than that, the front will begin to do it and cause the whole car to shake.... i think some pimp rims/tires are in my future
U need to get ur rotors turned....they sound warped

No vibration at all from 0 - 132mph when I had the stock Brickstones that I ran 'til 48K before they hit the wear bars.
I replaced them and the idiots at Discount Tire didn't balance them correctly. Result - steering wheel shakes.
Going back to a different DTC to see if those guys can get my tires right.

Vibrations can start as low as 75 MPH if driving into a heavy headwind(Did this on 12/30/05 driving from Chicago to St. Loius). If no wind, vibration starts >100 MPH. Dealer finds nothing. If wind impacts the vibration, how could tires be an issue?
I agree with 3.5Smoked on his comment about the vibration being very related to headwind, anywhere from 75-100mph, depending on how strong the wind is. I wonder if 3.5Smoked can also comment on if the vibration was substantially reduced when following behind vehicles that would block the headwind? Can't be the tires in this case...
Vibration History
1. 2 weeks after delivery tires needed balance, done by dealer, solved
2. 10,000 miles or so, independant balancing done, solved
3. 15,000 dealer service, complained of vibration under braking, rotors warped, re-surfaced under warranty, solved
4. 21,000 miles, heavy engine/body vibration when accelerating at highway speeds. Vehicle going to dealer tomorrow. I will be making them aware of the Lemon Law in this state (AL) Lets see what they say.
UPDATE: Dealer replace front right drive shaft under warrantly!!!!!! All vibration gone, drives like it should.

Yes, if I tucked in behind a semi or mini van, vibration would go away completely at that speed. This does not indicate a tire problem to me. And this was at around 75 MPH. I was driving into a small head wind today and got the vibration at about 85 MPH, although it wasn't as bad as usual because the road surface was a little rough.
Yesterday, I was running at over 100 and it didn't vibrate. No to minimal wind at all yesterday. This really sucks because the car(engine) is great but with this issue, I would NOT purchase another Nissan if they can't solve it.
So far, only a few of us have found the vibration to be related to headwind, anywhere from 80-100 mph. Mine starts right at 82 mph, and as 3.5Smoked also noticed, when tucking behind another vehicle, the vibration goes away. This would imply an aerodynamic relationship for some of us, maybe because of the lack of a rear spoiler? I for one do not have a rear spoiler. Could anything else affect the aerodynamics in this way?
