on my honda i bled the clutch just like the brakes. it also used brake fluid so i put some valvoline synthetic dot 3/4. not sure about the altima though
Sorry to be a nuisance to the board. I just thought that the dealership would be too expensive, and I thought that the people here on this forum would have a better recommendations for filling up the clutch fluid, that was all that I was asking for.
Im so glad I stumbled over this post a few days ago because I never knew we needed to add clutch fluid, or better yet that clutch fluid ever existed
Anyway after trying to find where mine's was at for an hour, my Uncle who has an 03 Maxima pointed out where it was and when I stuck my finger in it (yes its that low) its barely 0.10 inches full. The reason I couldnt find it was because it said something about add DOT3 Genuine Brake Fluid and I was looking out for something that said clutch fluid, so Im not that dumb, it is the 4th time I've ever opened my hood. Anyway, I guess the fluid can be purchased at the dealer ???
Go to Kragen's or Autozone, buy Dot 3 Brake Fluid. Fill up to line. Come on fellas, crack open that owner's manuel or better yet read the lid for the clutch res.
^^^ The lid doesnt say anything about a clutch, all it says is something about Use DOT3 Genuine Brake Fluid, and thats about it, nothing related to clutch fluid.
