Question about window molding. (Sry if this has been posted before)

Sorry if this has been posted before I couldn't find anything on forum. Right now my 02 Alti has the chrome moldings around or above the windows. My question is how can I black these out? Do I take them off and replacement them with a black one or is it just an add on I can just take off. I didn't know if this molding was necessary or if it would look stupid without them at all. Sorry if this seems like a stupid question. LOL I'm trying to be careful on what to do on this car without regretting it later. I already have mirrors that most likely will not fit my car that costed me $90 being shipped to me as we speak and now I have to ship them back when I recieve them at my cost. Well, hope someone can help or at least redirect me to a previous thread about this. Thanx

Probably the easiest and safest way would be to get some TrimBrite tape from an auto store. It looks like a electrical tape but is thicker in width. You'll need 2 of these rolls for both sides of the chrome trim. Key word is patience when install this. Take your time around the bends espescially around the mirrors and small rear window panes. Check my siggy for pic. You can use other stuff such as spray paint, but I hear it doesn't go as well and fades in weather conditions.

^ yeah that's what I did. Stuff sticks through any weather you can throw at it and it's pretty easy to do.

^Yeap, this trimbrite stuff is great. I've had it on for about year now and no fades, peels, cracks, etc...

I think he was talking about the chrome molding that surrounds the windows and their frames. The 3rd generation altimas have this, not too sure about any other generation. But it can easily be blacked out with trim tape.
