One suggestion. When I installed mine I changed the bend point on the aluminum bracket so that there would be more of a drop and it would stick out less from the mirror(more rise and less run... if you will.) Just be sure to use a back-up, aluminum can be brittle.
This gave me the perfect angle and also provided enough pressure between the mirror and the detector to stop the vibration from both of them.
It made a major difference to me and also made it A LOT easier to get to the button to release and connect the detector.
