The S-tech drop is not too bad at all. Mine is on S-techs and stock 17's.

I was just gonna ask about this...

So, to keep my stock suspension, what do you think is the lowest I can go and not have to replace it in 2 or 3 years?

i would stay with either the pro-kit or tein h tech setup....sportlines and s-techs will ruin your SE suspension...the SE-R guys can go lower

And did u do the struts at the same time? Or did u do it after a while?
Cuz ive heard that the SE-R struts will hold for a while

My front struts are staring to sound like sh*t after 6 or so months with the Tein H-Techs. Especially in this cold weather...

I haven't noticed any abrupt change in handling, beside the fact that I have my winter setup on the car right now (winter wheels and Blizzak tires). Its just loud and squeaky/grinding at low speeds and over bumps, especially if the car is pointed downhill and I make a turn at slow speeds.

My struts made this sound once before. I had installed just the front springs and left the rear stock. It made the same sounds, so I installed the rears, and not only did the sound disappear, but the handling greatly improved.

I put in KYB's at the same time. My stock suspension did made it 110k before dying out.

I have the Tein S springs with the stock wheels, shocks and struts. The drop is pretty drastic. The front is great, but I think the rear is almost too much and the ride is pretty firm, but that could improve when the weather warms up. I've had them on the car for about 3k miles. I'm considering changing them out for Tein H or Eibach Pro-kit. I don't rub the tires, but have bottomed out.

The measured drop after 10 weeks is 1.8" in the front and 1.3" in the rear.

Last edited by Sily_Rabit; 01-15-2008 at 10:09 PM. Reason: added measurement for the drop

Lowered on Eibach prokits and stock struts on stock rims. I have 20s, but might have to switch back to stock for the rear. I might get away with rolling the fenders though.
