just remember, the lower you go, the faster you will have to replace your stock suspension...find a balance between looks, performance and everyday driveability
I was just gonna ask about this...
So, to keep my stock suspension, what do you think is the lowest I can go and not have to replace it in 2 or 3 years?
but is it just sound thats coming out, or is the ride quality changing too?
I haven't noticed any abrupt change in handling, beside the fact that I have my winter setup on the car right now (winter wheels and Blizzak tires). Its just loud and squeaky/grinding at low speeds and over bumps, especially if the car is pointed downhill and I make a turn at slow speeds.
My struts made this sound once before. I had installed just the front springs and left the rear stock. It made the same sounds, so I installed the rears, and not only did the sound disappear, but the handling greatly improved.
does anyone have tein s techs on stock rims (SE-R)
or is the drop just too much?
I have the Tein S springs with the stock wheels, shocks and struts. The drop is pretty drastic. The front is great, but I think the rear is almost too much and the ride is pretty firm, but that could improve when the weather warms up. I've had them on the car for about 3k miles. I'm considering changing them out for Tein H or Eibach Pro-kit. I don't rub the tires, but have bottomed out.
The measured drop after 10 weeks is 1.8" in the front and 1.3" in the rear.

Reason: added measurement for the drop
^^or since ur gonna buy another set of springs u can put the htechs in the back..thats wat i did...came out great...and maybe u can sell the htech fronts to someone who jus wants to mildly drop jus the front...

but i want the look the s techs give, i think its badass!
so i am prob just gonna stick with them
Lowered on Eibach prokits and stock struts on stock rims. I have 20s, but might have to switch back to stock for the rear. I might get away with rolling the fenders though.
