Not sure what I can take from the car as of now, hoping to ask for the tires I bought less than a month ago as well.

Hey sorry to hear about your accident. But is your car color Polished Pewter? I'm looking for a bumper and if your bumper isn't damaged do you think you can sell it to me?

Hope everything works out well for you. At least you're ok. The car will most likely be declared NOT totaled. I have an 06 2.5 s and it was practically squished between two other cars after i got rear ended. i had nothing left up to the rear window (bumper, exhaust, trunk, lights, rear quarter pannels) and in the front i had no front bumper, lights, and radiator. Anyways insurance fixed it for $9,700. figure this, take your car value from kbb as a private sale and multiply by 0.8. if you think it will take more than that to fix then they will delcare it totalled.

Guess I'll just have to wait a see should get a call within the next two or three days to see if it is totaled or not, and if so what I will get and what I can take from the car. Not to sure if I can take parts from it other than the new tires, and my D3 which I would like to see out of there.

I doubt they'll care if I take it, most likely they are trashing the car after it anyway, so I might as well get the D3 and keep the OEM to sell.
I decided if they say it's totaled, I see what they will give me and ask if that includes the D3 and tires if not, see what they'll give me for that if it's more than the price of those two I'll take it and maybe buy a Z3.
Only bad part if it's totaled is finding another car, for the money they'll give me.

sorry to hear that man.. left turn accidents are a bitch to fight. And although the bytch is lying it's hard to prove otherwise.

As far as the car looks.. it looks totaled to me. Especially looking at the tire and the area where the firewall would be. Looks like the firewall took some damage. And with the tire being bent that way, most likely the energy of the impact traveled through the suspension components and bent the frame at the mounting points. Nasty spot to get hit. Two of my cars were totaled just like that.

I however beat a left turn crash because the gal was behind me and decided to go around when I was making a left. And she was 15 with no DL, speeding.

Your insurance will cover a lawsuit. You should of told the police she saw you, speed up and rammed you on purpose. Otherwise you were supposed to yield even though she was speeding.

go to the impound to say your taking pictures and remove your AVIC D3 without telling anyone. Say your gathering you personal effects and just do it. I never let those assholios tow my shit. I strip my cars at home and let them pick it up from my house.

Insurance company took my statement yesterday, I said he had his right blinker on to say I thought it was turning. Lady taking the statement seemed to joke, they should come check it out tomorrow, I hope. They said Mon. - Thurs. and it's already a day late. I'll keep you all updated thanks for the help.

If that was the case, then technically you were supposed to wait for them to complete the turn because they had the right of way.

you should of kept with the "they speed up all of a sudden in road rage" kind of thing..

The red car is me and the blue car would be him.
As you can see me and the cross street had a stop sign, but the road he was on Morris Ave. did not.
I stated that I saw him down Morris and he had the right blinker on and was a good distance away, so thinking he was going to make the right I turned left onto Morris from Pine after coming to a complete stop.
Unfortunately he was going faster than I thought and hit me in the intersection where the green arrow is.
What will help is that it was late, and had just started raining and was cloudy. And the first few minutes of rainfall is the most dangerous on the road.
Still haven't found out about the car and they are now a day late.

Just got word that they will see my car on Monday.

Got the insurance's decision today, came in that it wasn't totaled.
Haven't gotten the final quotes yet because the computers have crashed there.
But the collision place has told me that they are already ordering parts, and it should take about 2 weeks.
They are replacing everything even down to the dashboard.
