yeah, you can skip polishing....polishing is by all means by choice, like claying. You do need to wax after clay though, you need to wax after everytime you clay. Some clay removes wax and other protectants. Also, if you take something out of your paint with clay and it has punctured your clear, color and into your cars body panel....if you dont seal it up you could end up getting rust.

Thank you, I'm bout to go clay right now!!

Swirl goes before glaze. Glaze, in most cases, has some fillers to cover up some small scratches a bit and bring out the shine. Sealant would go before glaze and then wax after sealant/glaze. If you seal after wax, it could cause some bonding issues. Sealant also needs some time to cure so it works properly. The longer you let it cure the better. Wipe on, wipe off and let sit for a few hours.

Sealant might be good enough so you might be able to skip out on the glaze before it. You should wash the car after swirl removal just in case. Hope you're using a grit guard and either a MF towel or waffle weave towel to dry so you dont screw up the work you just finished. Improper washing causes most paint damage.

I don't know what that top coat reflection is....I'd assume its a wax. If it is, after sealant.

I believe there is a professional detailer here....I think his SN is "Leathe of heaven" or something similar. You could probably find him in the detailing section of the forums. I'm just a detailing enthusiast, detailing is his career.

my point about dish soap is that 95% of the people who wash their car with dish soap don't even own wax.
