1. Raise the glass to the top position.
2. While pressing and holding the reset switch, lower the glass to
the bottom position.
3. Release the reset switch. Verify that the reset switch returns to
the original position, and then raise the glass to the top position.
CAUTION:
Do not operate the glass automatically to raise the glass to the
top position.

Thanks DryHeat. Mine is stuck in the lowered position, but I tried this anyway and got zero results. Owell, I tried. It is going to the dealer. Time to pull out the wallet.

Dealer Deal

Well, I took it in and after about 3 hrs, they called me back with the line, "Nissan must be very proud of that part (window motor) because it is $335.00
$532.00 installed.
I said "I don't think I would be proud of a part that worked for 4 years and broke with no warning."
He said he would call me back in 10 min. So 5 minutes pass and he calls with a new quote of $175.00 installed. I said do it.
I know I could have don it cheaper myself, but what the hell, my time is worth something.

Wasnt there a method of doing this without opening the door panel or pressing any reset button?? I remember it being as simple as rolling it up, holding it and then rolling it down again

That is if the motor just needs re-set. This one was fried. I tried, and the dealer tried the reset and other "tricks" as he put it, but to no avail.

That much for a motor installed? Damn. And even worse that they tried to charge 500 bucks for the install the first time. I would've told them to eat one and give me back my car to do it myself.

My window does the same thing. I have taken the plastic interior panel off a couple of times and there is nothing visible behind it like what is in the diagram above. Do you have to take off the black metal panel also to get to a reset switch? I think i tried that before but then the window started falling so i just put it all back.
