back-window defrosting not work?

recently got a 2005 altima SL. i'm trying to get the back-window heated. there is an dial button on the most right side (or 3rd). when it's pushed , the light in the center didn't light up and also the back-window didn't get heated.

not sure if it has an issue, or it's not the right way to turn on the defrosting on the back window?

could the switch be defective?

yes this is how you turn on the rear defroster. I'd think that the switch itself is defective since if there was something wrong with the defroster itself then the light might blink or something.

thanks. just found that altima 2005 has a so-called active self test

after ran it, the light at the center of the know never lighted up, which means the heater on the rear window never got power.

which mean that something might be wrong with BCM or after, not the button.

also checked the 10A fuse #12 on M4 from ignition, it's ok and got 13V when iginition is ON.

have hard time to locate the big relay switch B4 (rear window defogger relay) which connected to 2x20A fuse on IPDM, from battery for the rear-window defroster. I'd check if this relay's coil is ok or 2x20A fuse is ok.

anybody can tell where B4 and IPDM is located?

from the serivce manual, the center light seems to get power from the defogger directly. so when defogger gets voltage, it's lighted up.
