Air conditioner not as cold?

So I went to the desert the weekend, and for the last few days it's been in the 80's. I crank up the AC, and it doesn't feel as cold as it really should be. Shouldn't the AC be ice cold? It almost feels like it's just blowing semi-cold air and that the AC isn't really working. What do I need to do? Thanks.

you could go to autozone or any auto parts store and get a freon recharge kit .

really easy. just unscrew the cap on the low pressure port of the a/c under the hood. then just put the freon connector on it and press the spray button until the gauge shows that it's been recharged enough.

there are more detailed instructions on the back of the recharge kit.

yes its very easy , if you have a shot glass worth of mechanical ability . there is a gauge on the can and its marked for the right pressure and just follow the instructions .

this is the valve on the A/C line (low pressure side) it looks like a tire valve but bigger (there is an L on the cap) . you screw the hose on to this and follow the instructions .

That's odd. I have a little different setup than that picture. I only got the single bottle with the gauge on it. Now it says to turn the car on and turn up the AC all the way then use it. I'm doing this by myself, and I have a little fear of cans blowing up(accident when I was younger lol). So do I turn the car on, blast the AC, and then turn the valve on the bottle? Also, does the gauge provide on the bottle tell me what my current pressure is? Thanks.

Ha, found it, it's got a giant L on it >_>

Anyways, here is the picture of the different set up for the AC;

Oh, and the kit I bought already had the gauge saying it was in the red. Is it okay to turn the car on now to get a right reading?
