Won't start... and a clicking from fuse block?

Ok the car has not shown a hint of problem and then all of a sudden I get in to come home and it won't start, not even turn over. I jumped it and it ran fine. Turn it off, try to restart, and it won't turn over again. This time I heard a rapid clicking coming from the right front fuse block (highlighted in the pic). I tried unplugging each plug and relay one at a time until the clicking stopped but it keeps clicking.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this or what needs to be replaced?

It's a stock '04 2.5 with 115,000mi and the battery is less than a year old.

A bad battery can make your car act screwy, including your relays. That in the photo is you IPDM (Intelligent Power Distribution Module), and it contains many relays that can and will click rapidly when not given enough power.Batteries can go bad prematurely, so your best bet is get your battery tested and if its bad get a free replacement (Batteries have at least a 1 year free replacement)

like kingclk said, get your battery tested. if the battery turns out to be dead, then you might want to also check the alternator... or you'll find out soon enough when the next battery dies.

the battery is dead , you might have lots of corrosion on the terminals , if so clean it then get the battery tested , you might need to get a new battery , you might want to check the alternators output just in case .

when the battery doesn't have enough power you will hear the rapid clicking sound , it has happened to me because of corrosion on the terminals and i heard the rapid clicking sound .

As the rest have said, it's most likely your battery. I had the exact same thing happen to me last year with the clicking sound from the fuse block.

Possible you left a light on?? Also after you boosted it how long did you let it run before you shut it off. IF you only let it runa couple of mins maybe you didn't let the alternator recharge your battery long enough causing the same issue again. Try boosting it drive it near home for about 30mins then see if it starts. IF it's a no go then start looking at other issues. In the case of an alternator you will usually get a couple of lights on the dash like the e-brake light and a battery light. In the case of the battery have you noticed a slow down in how fast it cranks over your engine in the last few months??

I have a 3.5 but I had problems with that box when I got it. You cant just replace the relays and fuses Nissan wont sell them seperate. You have to buy the entire box. Lucky the original owner thought that it was the problem and already bought one and gave it to me.

He said he pulled it from a junk yard and that from Nissan it cost around $600. You could try swapping it from a working or go to a junk yard and see if you can get one cheap.
