I'm new here so...

how is that JWT clutch flywheel treatin ya? I've got the same thing, but I'm trying to get mine started. Then I have to do the whole break in thing... But, I've heard good things about JWT! Better be good $800 dollars later!

The clutch/flywheel doesn't have a break in. You can literally drag to the track the same day after installation.

Really? I read that there is like a 500 mile break in... Nice! I havn't driven my Spec-V in almost a year now... It would be nice to go out and romp in it! I've been driving a 98hp kia for the past year... Power would be nice!

The only mod I had a break in period were the nismo cams. For the first 3k mi, I couldn't rev passed 3k rpm. Before the clutch, according to a mustang dyno, my car puts down 178whp. Maybe if I clean the filter combined with the flywheel/clutch, I'd be passed 180whp (of course, clutch/flywheels yeilds no whp, someone correct me if I'm wrong)

as far as i know... no hp gains, but it's like what 19lbs for the whole clutch flywheel combo compared to what 38lbs(i know i'm wrong but what i'm guessing) lighter weight = faster reving!

I like to refer to the cams as my ace up my sleeve, but my achilles' heel is that this is still a qr . A stock vq will fly by after I have reached my limiter. And a well tuned SI will spank me as soon as 'VTACCC' kicks in.

I have thought about upgrading cams at some point...Next logical step with the I/H/Dual E that I have. Problem is that I have an SL===auto tragic. Not worth the $ to be limited by the trans.

vids for those who asked:

with cams, the header still had the cat

drive by, with cams, no header

current set-up with stock clutch, fourth gear pull

still current set-up with stock clutch, third gear pull

if you can tell where the cams sound differ, kudos to you!
