since lowering car scrapes everywhere

just wondering if anyone else is having issues with the exhaust and lower control arms scraping after lowering the car. i have an 04 2.5 sl with bc racing coilovers. theres about a finger and a half wheel gap at all four corners and 19" rims with 235-35-19"s. damn thing scrapes alot.

where do you drive?

i have a tiny gap up front and my rear tires tuck. honestly i dont have nearly as many scraping issues as i thought i would. i bottom out on steep driveways but that is about it. after having it lowered for about a year, i have legitimately bottomed out on a speed bump once. and scraped my front crossmember/flex pipe, maybe 2 other times.

i do take all entrances/exits very carefully though. maybe you just need to adjust your driving habits??

i mean i have to navigate the car unless i am on a highway or major road. city roads are a maze lol. you just have to learn what to watch out for...

good luck man, its a learning experience if anything. i have however realized that there is not too much under there to mess up. my resonator looks like it has been beaten with a baseball bat though lol

i live in wall township, new jersey. the flex pipe is just about 2 inches off the ground , maybe a little less . steep driveways im always careful of and go on an angle to help, but most times it still drags. ill have to take a couple of pictures of the car and post them . i dont think the car itself is that low but i always seem to drag across speed bumps and certain dips in the road the brace under the radiator hits.

yeah i can fit about 3 finger in under the flex pipe, a sideways pop can is much too tall lol.

the car it self does not look insanely low, but if i were to go any lower (wish i could) the flex pipe would probably sit on the pavement lol

true, true... i think driveways in colorado may be less steep because of all the snow we get?? i'm not sure to be honest, but most driveways/ entrys to gas stations and grocery stores are pretty modest.

today i wished i was not so low though. we got the first big snow, and i realized that i am pretty much a snow plow !! you know that section of snow that sits up between the tire tracks?? yeah i simply flattened that patch, all the way to school, and all the way home. 45 miles total

oh well, car still looks good.

just made me very happy that i did not buy and install a stillen lip this summer like i planned on

just some thin sheet metal....
weld some threads on the sub frame. drill holes where the threads are to add bolts to make it removable. and your good to go.

lol, i would go that low if my car was still drivable lol. if i was that low i would be pissed that i couldnt drive anywhere. albeit it looks great, but i would get a headache from it.

and no, i'm not saying its too low

i am surprised you didnt take a loan out and buy coils and work rims day one when you bought your G.

i would have, there is a G37s that has been on the lot at a dealer right next to my apt... for a month or more now. i am so tempted to go buy it. but they want ****ing 32 grand for it!!! it is white on silver leather (i would have bought it if it was black leather)...

today was wild driving to school, in a snow storm, and becoming a snow plow

there is simply no way i will raise it for the winter though, it will stay slammed

yeah my parents give me that speech everytime i gripe about my springs lol...

if you get coils show the pics man, your rear needs to be lower, your car looks like its lunging forwards, ready to pounce lol. i still think you need wheels, but i totally understand $$ issues, the only wheels i want are going to cost around $4000 w/ tires. i simply cant and wont rationalize that as worth it on my altima lol, its no show car
