Anyone try out the Momo ALBK1 yet? Been looking for a decent leather shift knob to replace the rubber one in the 2.5 but its been tuff. Due to the Auto shifter being I believe 8mm??? Well i found this momo one on ebay and am thinking about buying just seeing if anyone has tried it before... Thanks

I never said that I wore it out. I just want to replace it with a leather one for look and feel since I tend to rest my hand on it sometimes.
Plus im in the slow process of upgrading the whole interior to leather.
Still looking for some decent OEM seats
Done the Armrest
so in the meantime figured I would upgrade the shifter.

i'm just busting your chops, i rest my hand on the shift knob when i drive too. my rubber one is getting pretty gross. i just dont know what the thread size is to order a new one

what color seats are you going for?

i assume black because of the armrest you have?

Yeah black seats, well thats why I think I might try out that momo shifter b/c its suppose to fit between a 8mm and 15mm so should be set.
I might just end up finding a decent shop that can just cover my cloth seats with some decent leather instead of the OEM leather seats. But would be nice to find a set that has Heated seats and power passenger side.

You CAN use that. It will physically fit and work. However, it specifically says that the knob is for a MANUAL. And therefore it is probably weighted. If you take a turn a little quick it can shift into 3rd on accident. Just letting you know.

Yeaa that works. Also, the 3.5SE shift knob is OEM leather for the autos. Its $84 from the dealer....

I have read that it says that it weighs 6 oz which is a little over a 1/3 of a pound so it doesn't seem that heavy that it could push the tranny into 3rd on a hard turn. Guess ill find out. haha I'll report back next week when I hopefully get it.

Mmmk man. Thats the usual weight of those and people have reported it. When you get it, put it in and then throw the car around a right hand turn.....
