Side Mirror housing replacement

Mine are shot, they look like $h!t, and I'm looking for replacements. I found a decent price here, already painted: 2005 Nissan Altima Rear View Mirror - 9634.

They have two line items, one is referred to as "Skull Cap". Is that what the name of the housing is referred too as?

Anyone changed theirs out? Instructions on how?

Thanks peeps.

Are they faded looking? There is a thread or two with those who just polished them up to look new.

Faded real bad. You'd never thought they were painted black.

Just the outside cover. Don't need the whole assembly. The "skull cap" reference was throwing me.

I didn't think the stealership would be that generous.

really really easy...look underneath (skull cap) and you will see a hole stick a really small flathead screw-driver. Pull towards you and it will fall right out. Be gentle and not crack it. Patience is key.

I need one also, but dam 4DRZ is holding out on his part out thread. hahaha
