Replaced the bulbs in the headlights with Sylvania Xtravisions. What a pain in the ass. Wishing I'd bought cheaper bulbs with longer hour ratings. Lenses on the housings are still foggy as fück though. Tried one of the cleaning products a few months ago. Made minimal difference. Will buy new headlight assemblies when one of these bulbs burn out.
Those Sylvania's will probably last about 3 months.
When you say the housing is foggy, are you talking about hazed over lenses? If so, try the 3M restoration kit, that stuff is great. Just be sure to reseal the lenses afterwards.
Yes, hazed lenses. I used the Mother's kit if I recall. It's my wife's car, and it doesn't bother her, so it's not a priority. Like I said, when they burn out, then I'll put new assemblies on it. She doesn't do much night driving anymore (we usually take my 4th gen), so they may last for years, but I have heard iffy things about their longevity. I've heard the Silverstars are total crap.
Changed rotors and pads and washed, polished and vaccumed.

I just went with the Advanced Auto Special. I have new slotted but am waiting for some bbk calipers. Wilwoods would be nice or 300zx with the12.6 bracket.. Bombay how's the manifold coming? Did you get the last vaccum line figured out? I was reading that the manifold may need to be drilled and retaped. I just wanted to follow up. Feel free to PM me or email me so as not to get off topic.
New radiator hoses. Maybe I'm just being OCD, but I figured at 10 yrs and 122k miles it was time. They didn't look that bad though (no bulging, etc.) They'll be my spares now.
someone scuffed up my driver side back fender in at the work parking lot yesterday. unfortunately, no one was parked by me when i got in and no one was there when i left. i informed front desk security on the matter since there are cameras out there. hopefully they got something for me soon after breaking down the situation and my car.
Today I looked at my car in disgust! Check engine light came on so I had the codes read. I'm throwing P1273 & P1402! From all that I have read so far, these codes are very bad and somewhat expensive to remedy. Not the way I was hoping to start the holidays. UGH!

I had the 1273 for the lean shift, I am pretty sure it was caused because I have a header with O2 Sims but also because I have no cats as soon as I flashed my car with uprev it went away and I have been monitoring my A/F ratio and it never went lean. Run some fuel injector cleaner through it, also can't help you with the EGR since I don't have one.
well i got some help changing my low beam bulb the other day and all seemed well. Today i get out of work and notice a ton of moisture in the headlight ..... dude who helped me must not have put the dustcap back on right or something. Im kind of aggravated but it just means now i have a reason to either do a headlight project or just get new ones all together lol
