Put on a new, used set of tires. They had about 90% tread on them. Hankook Optimo... THEY SUCK . My partially baldded Continental Conti Pro Contacts had more grip then these, ugh, FML
last week was a down week I get each year for my car:
on par with my "gotta dump Money into this car" schedule.
shocks front- and rear. LCA's ordered. rubber is rotting out on mine
Valve cover seals front and rear. 150 and 100k on both. time to change!
Injector kit. and "core" for mine
fixed that damn squeeky seat.
checked Battery: showing 69% life remaining... so its got another 2 years easy
engine mount, rear engine mount was cracked but still holding on, replaced it
and after 300k miles my Right CV boot is starting to "fling oil" will get replacments after christmas.
new Wheel bearing's W/ CV joint install
at this point the OE water pump and OE timing chain are getting me worried. and my PS pump has been leaking for the last 2 years... meh
Checked the oil, was really freaking low. Added about a quart. Also, appears to be some residue on the outside of the UIM around the NWP BOP. Great!
check your Valve gaskets. if its anything on these engines those things will start leaking... it looks like just a little but I was losing a quart per 3000 miles because of them.
Another piece of the jigsaw puzzle. My new 3" Cattman Y-Pipe.
I was very impressed with the quality and finish of the headers that arrived earlier this year, and this, this is the BEST looking Y-pipe I have ever seen! lol This was a b-day gift from my wife, (september) and just today she was asking me what do I want for Christmas. Oh happy day! What to get, what to get?!?!
Sorry missed this post..... I would engineer it to have twin bars and where it mounts, the brackets would have 2 points of contact either in a "U" or "X" pattern. (to further reduce any tendency to flex/roll)

Sweet.
On an unrelated subject, I have the SER gauge pod fitted with autometer coblats (Volt,Oil pres, Water temp). Years ago, an incorrect male fitting adapter caused the oil pressure gauge to rupture. It bled through center console. Luckily, the radio remained functioning. I then discounted the live oil feed.
The gauge from then on was literally for show with no purpose. It was still lighting up, just didn't provide any information. As a replacement, I picked up a narrow band A/F. I know, it's rice. But the middle gauge pod was practically doing nothing anyway.
I read over the installation instructions, it requires to be soldered from the PCM to the O2 sensor line. Obviously, this is beyond my capability.
sat in a 2nd gen 2001 altima for the first time today, mine is only a year newer and the differences are huge!!!! what happened to innovation like that Nissan??
