So, anyways what's the drivetrain history on the Regal? Where did the AWD evolve from? (yeah, I know ADD kicking in) Curious as I was told the Q50's comes from the GT-R...just wondering where the Regal's came from (Caddy maybe?)
Thank, Doug. I'll probably still hang around and see what everybody's up to - just won't be here as frequently.

The whole platform of the new Regal is based on the Opel/Vauxhall/Holden Insignia - it's on GM's global platform. Here's a good review on the AWD system if you're curious. To my knowledge, it's a bit different of a system from the other USA GM platforms.

Thank you, Sir! Yep - motor is the same basic design. I'm still learning on the platform, but it appears there are a few different motor variants of the 2.0T, though.

What did I do to my 3rd gen? I swapped my cylinder 6 (was 3 but I moved it) ignition coil because of a random misfire that followed it. Runs great now. But my CEL hasn't turned on since resetting the codes so there's something else wrong that I have to hunt down now.

Where's my engine light?!? It's so dark and lonely without it.
Thanks, Chris! If anything, stress is WAY less than my current position. Everything is a fire here, and the politics straight up suck. New position is a smaller business, higher level, and smaller team. Very focused on "management by objectives" instead of all the micromanaging I have now. I'm pumped.

Letting go of the Altima is hard, though. There's a lot of blood, sweat, and even a couple tears (that rear header install, ugh...).

Thanks for the solution on your random misfire... I'm going to look at that on mine - I have the same code and I think I may have accidentally swapped coil, too.

Well , a little bit action here ..lol

Did have the pass side rear caliper changed 2 weeks back as it was seized , I don t make enough milleage & it got screwed up , make a little bit more milleage now . lol

As well as oil change & stuff like that , Nothing special .

Did had the f/r brakes cleaned , it helped , was getting some rust on them .

I accepted a new position as a Regional Sales Director that will require biweekly travel to my sales territory, and they've offered a very lucrative compensation package that includes a car stipend. While I love my Altima, she's near the 92k mile marker, and she's frankly too much work on long trips. I absolutely enjoy driving her, and she strikes a great balance between daily driver and weekend track warrior, but she's no long-distance driver...

Sad to say this, but I may be putting her up for sale soon. I'm working through the details on her replacement and then what her sale would look like (what would I be including and/or getting done before putting her up for sale). I think it's time to say goodbye to a great car, though.

On the horizon may be a 2014 Buick Regal GS AWD. Picture of the one I'm looking at this coming Monday is below. Link to the add is here.

She's pretty, too. Not much for modification is planned for her, as she sits well from the factory. A tune, new all-season tires, and I'm on the fence for some Camaro Z28 replica wheels... I haven't gotten the opportunity to fully research weights and build quality, but I know the size and offset I'm looking at would work.

Love to hear your thoughts. Post 'em up!
Congrats on new position BP , Hope you ll stick around if you sell your SER !

It will be quiet as someone wrote above.

Car Winterized a while back ( maybe a month) , had the exhaust fixed , added my muffler-reasonator ( which is a 2 1/2 Dynomax Racing Muffler ) , much less noise in there . ! also rust proofed , needed also

Maintaince basically.

Seems like no 3rd gen around , getting old &/or people change for something else.
