So, anyways what's the drivetrain history on the Regal? Where did the AWD evolve from? (yeah, I know ADD kicking in) Curious as I was told the Q50's comes from the GT-R...just wondering where the Regal's came from (Caddy maybe?)
Thank, Doug. I'll probably still hang around and see what everybody's up to - just won't be here as frequently.
The whole platform of the new Regal is based on the Opel/Vauxhall/Holden Insignia - it's on GM's global platform. Here's a good review
on the AWD system if you're curious. To my knowledge, it's a bit different of a system from the other USA GM platforms.

Good luck BP
Thank you, Sir! Yep - motor is the same basic design. I'm still learning on the platform, but it appears there are a few different motor variants of the 2.0T, though.

What did I do to my 3rd gen? I swapped my cylinder 6 (was 3 but I moved it) ignition coil because of a random misfire that followed it. Runs great now. But my CEL hasn't turned on since resetting the codes so there's something else wrong that I have to hunt down now.
Where's my engine light?!? It's so dark and lonely without it.
Thanks, Chris! If anything, stress is WAY less than my current position. Everything is a fire here, and the politics straight up suck. New position is a smaller business, higher level, and smaller team. Very focused on "management by objectives" instead of all the micromanaging I have now. I'm pumped.
Letting go of the Altima is hard, though. There's a lot of blood, sweat, and even a couple tears (that rear header install, ugh...).
Thanks for the solution on your random misfire... I'm going to look at that on mine - I have the same code and I think I may have accidentally swapped coil, too.
