today I put in yellow foglight bulbs. I like the look of them and research has showed to me that they increase visibility as well!
Here's my instagram picture:
Completed my pool cue shift knob (I play pool a lot). Little story behind it too...
This cue was made specifically for a friend, in which a friend made for him when he first started playing pool regularly. This cue is also the first expensive cue that my friend broke over a tournament when he used to get overwhelmed in matches. It sat behind the bar of a pool hall for 4+ years, and is now partially in my beloved Altima, trying it's hardest to cope with the shades of the faux wood grain...
Beneath the lower part of the knob is a narrower wood which the boot is ziptied to.
Don't know how soon, because the lower part of the cue (other end that I have left over) needs some work done since it's damaged. I also don't have a big enough drill bit to hollow out the cue so I'll need to get that done somehow.
Not yet, they are still fitting me on it, and I am not willing to pay shipping on something that was not my fault. Its ok though cause I filed a claim with the BBB already, so hopefully that will light a fire under there asses.
Just remember that the lower you go with the car the more you want to lengthen the endlinks. Its real easy for the front because if you lower the car an inch you want the endlinks to be one inch longer than the OE ones. Unfortunately the RL links will not accommodate a 2 inch drop but if you max them out (safely) it will handle better than with OE links.
About how many threads of the hiem joint should I thread into the arm? I would think the shorter the better but I remember that thread you showed me. I wonder if we can get Taz to make us longer arms.
Coco: why did you use your endlink to install the studs? I usually just put the rim back on and tighten it that way
"a good rule of thumb to use when deciding whether you have enough threads inserted into the turnbuckle: there should be at least enough threads to cover the distance of the diameter of the rod multiplied by 1.5 (to get the requisite strength)."
I had emailed Taz regarding the matter but he never replied. Maybe you will have better luck.
