Thanks ill definitely look into getting that fixed and reset asap. I have another side question.. well its a noise question.
I recently installed a new top and bottom grille on my altima, i can link the picture, anyways ever since ive installed it ive begun hearing this whistling sound coming from my engine whenever im accelerating above about 80kph lets just say whenever i hit highway speed. and when i let off the gas it slowly dies down.. do you think this sound could be coming from the air passing through the new grille?? thats all i can think of becuase i havent touched one part to my engine yet. I thought it could maybe be the beslt but i have had a belt issue before in my old focus (may it RIP) lol and it was a lot worse than this. please let me know if any of you have had this same noise come through after a new grille installation.

Yes the whistling is the air through the grille. I had that problem myself before changing grilles...yet again lol

Jesus I feel like Im the only NEWB here hahah meh whatever i like getting helpful tips and answers. So new questioano haha. Im planning on buying lowering springs, and new struts for all 4 corners of my 2.5L 06 Altima. Can anyone sorta just give me a rundown of how much I can be expected to pay.. i saw some racingline springs for around 2... something i dont know now ill have to do a lot more research but does anyone know what the best type of parts would be for the 2.5L. im also planning on buy 18 to 19 inch tires.. so im not sure what amount it would be ok to drop my altima so the new tires i buy dont rub.

Thanks guys for all the help. really does make a big difference in the choices I make for my car.
~INJEN CAI coming in tomorrow!! WOOT

No problem man.

The amount your are going to spend depends on the brand of springs you buy, how low you want to go and who does your install. For shocks and struts there is really only one quality choice and that is KYB Gr2's. Those are what about 99% of us are running.

As to springs, you have so many options.

Racingline

Vogtland (I have these)

Eibach

H&R

Etc.

I suggest you google each one and see what you like.

As to you being the only noob...no. You're just the only noob that can read apparently

noob question

yes I am a noob no probalem admitting to it. Just got my 06 altima last week everything is good so far (except I have to get another side rear view mirror but I digress) only problem is BOTH power outlets cig lighter and arm rest outlets do not work. I checked the fuse in the car under the steering wheel and the fuse(s) are fine what should I look for next or should I just take it in? thanks for the quick replies

I have the same kinds of issues, mainly jus with the outlet in the arm est location. nothing is blocking it like a penny or anything but it just has no power, still trying to find some info, ill let you know if i can come up with anything.

200hpAltima,

Thanks, Ya ill definitely be checking out those brands for the lowering springs. Oh Ive seen a few altimas with this next thing throughout the forum,im not too sure if its only possible for the SER or if it works with all but i see a lot with the mesh grills but they have that painted border around them that helps make it look more flush to the car. I just bought a new grille and it looks great and all but that other piece that would surround the grille would be a nice touch.
