Valve cover gasket removal and install HELP

hey men I'm attempting to change my valve cover gaskets tomorrow along with the plugs. I cant find a DIY anywhere on an Altima 3.5 motor. I just want to know what I should all replace while I'm in there. All I got was the gaskets so far. Then I'm reading tube seals and grommets as well. Anybody do this on their SER yet? Please share some advice if you can. I just want to do this once because it's a good 4 hour job. Thx a mil.

Please use the search function.

Here's a great DIY that will help you get to the rear (right) bank: Spark Plug / Ignition Coil Replacement. Dealing with the two bolts on the rear of the intake collector is a PITA the first time. The tube seals are built into the valve covers. If you have an oil leak in the spark plug tube, replace the valve cover as well. RTV the corners of the gaskets as you will read in some of the links I have provided below. Although Nissan directs to replace the intake plenum gasket anytime you remove it, you really only need to do so if you have distorted it by removing the plenum, if you have a vacuum leak there, or if it has oil on it.

Additional information from our site (again, please search):

Thanks man. I actually have used that first DIY twice to do my plugs. It's awesome. I think I have it bookmarked like 7 times lol but I guess I will just figure it out as I go. My concern was the fuel rails and stuff along with the tube seals and the valve cover grommets and I wanna go the PCV too. As far as I know you can't just but the grommets, u need all new valve covers which sucks. If you happen to know where to get them, please let me know. I just want to do everything while it's all apart. Thanks again.

Mention is made of removing the cowl in a couple of those threads. Personally, I would to make life easier, and might even go so far as to remove the factory strut brace.

That is detailed in my write up here...

I went through that when I replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders. What a project that was. It does free up a lot of space however. Damn transverse engines, what a pita. Half is like wide open the other half is like unattainable. Officially over it.
