11:1 does not need "racing gas", but will require premium fuel at all times. If you want to spray then I'd get some custom pistons done up at 9.5:1 or 10:1 just to keep it safer

11.1 compression ratio and upgrade to 96mm pistons (since your doing a rebuild) Perfect opportunity to add larger cams as well.

Lower/custom compression isnt completely necessary to spray. Itll cost more to order custom pistons since off the shelf pistons are available for cheap. Id go 96mm like lawrence suggested. If you plan on.spraying a really big shot then maybe you should go with the suggestion Taz made. I agree with what he said in reference to gas.

Always very helpful. Yea I figured I did not need "race gas" I thought I read that the 370z have 11. Cr...
I don't want my car too b slow lol I'm at 268 whp and I dnt want to loose it by changing to 8.8 so I was thinking 11. And 75 shot on tune would b nice

Not a pro tho so please correct me if I am miss led lol
Also read that I could go high compression and if I decided to boost I cold run low boost and still make as much power as low cr and high boost

Not necessarily true. The main reason for high compression AND boost is so that there isnt ANY turbo lag. High compression allows the engine to be ultra responsive...Low boost is a must here as youve stated. This is a fine line, and if done correctly you will have a very nice set up, but understand me, when it comes to high boost, lots of variables here, a high compression build with a low boost application is not going to make as much as a purpose built low compression engine. Boost is relative to the size of the compressor used in the application, not the boost setting. With the VQ35 you could build a low compression build and with the right turbine AR, boost with enough pressure to flow enough air to generate 700+hp. This will not happen with a high compression build. You will detonate long before you reach the same levels. Sure you could build a 300-maybe 400hp high compression build, but it will cost a great deal more to do so....Many more variables I didnt account for, so this is just a quick vague, BUT true answer.

No idea. I dont spray, especially with high compression AND turbo....lol Honestly, I couldnt answer this. I never have, and never will use NOS. I see no point for...and you being "only" 20....uhm I REALLY dont see a need for it. Bro just let your build and tune do the bragging/talking. No need for spray. However, maybe someone else can/will chime in with an answer for ya.

I suggested a slightly lower comp because my impression of the OP is this is his first build. Figured and extra $250 on pistons now might save him a build later if he gets a bit too happy on the spray. 96mm @ stock like compression will still net some NA power while giving him alot more room down the road for boost or bigger n2o jetting

Bad idea. build it right the first time. You wont loose power or much if any. power curve will be shifted.
