2005 Maxima key

Need to have a second key made for my 2005 Maxima. I know it a smart key, so only a dealer can program it? Correct? I also want to use my key fob from my 2002 that was totaled by a hit and run driver. It looks the same as my 2005 fob, will it work?

I went on ebay and bought two keys for my 05 maxima. I then had to go to the dealership to have them cut and programmed. In the end it costed me $28 for the two keys and another $45 for the dealer to program and cut them. Still a far cry from buying a new key at the dealership.
