2007 Maxima Sunroof

So I'm getting in my car this morning and its already extremely hot inside the car, so I did as I normally do. I opened the sunroof for about 5 minutes to cool things down while the ac kicks in. After beginning to drive for a minutes, I decided to slide the sunroof switch to the close position. Well the sunroof about half way closed and there is a pretty loud POP and then the sunroof stops. Well, then I was in a state of shock, so I pulled over to get out and look. Everything looks good on the tracks and the only thing in them is grease?! so I decided to try to open it back up and try to close again. No go. Then tried holding the tilt button to the close position. No go. Tried turning the car off and starting again and THEN trying to close it. Nothing. I was about fed up with it when finally it inched its way towards the closed position about 4-6 more inches and stopped again. I finally began HOLDING the tilt button and after about 6 seconds it closed again. Held again and its closed finally. Any ideas? I just REALLY hate to try to take it to the dealership because I waited for 2.5 hours Friday to get a key made. <-- Super fast j/k

no0o00 dont take it to the dealer they are horrible and will extremely over charge you and will waste like 3/4 of the day holding your car there..... try maybe checking fuses see if any are popped that would be my only guess since my maxima only has a moon not sun roof =[

The only thing I questioned that made me think it was NOT a fuse, is the fact that the darn thing will open FINE. But when it starts closing, it goes fine for the first half then slows down and stops. Like its stuck. Then it wont move in ANY direction for a few minutes, then it will inch its way back closed. Then of course if it tilts, it has no problem.
