Any way to fix this without going to the dealer? My clucth pedal feel like its tightened, and I really noticed this when I drove my friends Jetta. Also when I push in my clutch, it squeaks a bit. Anything I could do without going to the dealership?
Thanks
To lessen the toughness...limit the car's protein intake for no less than 2weeks while introducing olive oil.
All jokes aside..I would take it to the stealership for a looksee. Get your oil changed or other standard maintenance done at the same time. The SER clutch is usually on the soft/loose side if anything so unless you're 90lbs and your idol is Richard Simmons...you could have a maladjusted clutch.
I had my oil changed last monday and my passenger door lock replaced today, and I didnt think about it then. I hate going like everyday...they must be getting annoyed of me...lol
dude... no matter what you do.. never ever compare our clutch to a VW. Volkswagens are notorious for one of the softest clutches in the floor. I drove my buddy's R32 the other day and damn near put my foot through the flooroard. I have driven jettas too, they are the same way. We have a sportier, stiffer clutch. Mine squeaks a lil and is tougher to push than it was off the showroom floor, but i prefer it that way anyways.

my clutch had the same problem, it would creek when i engage it or release it. one dealer kept blowing me off in new york and wouldnt fix it.
I took it to another dealership, they noticed the problem and agreed to fix it. they replaced the whole entire clutch pedal assembly under warranty.
that was 10k miles ago, the clutch has been perfect since. no creeks or squeaks anymore, car even shifts smoother in my opinion.
quick update, passed by the dealer to get the pedal cheked out and the condensation in my brake light in my spoiler. My clutch pedal is being replaced as the gasket is finsihed, and so is my brake light. Ill update when they receive the pieces and do the install.
Thanks guys
sorry to dig up an old thread, but has anyone replaced the clutch pedal themselves and nto just take it to a dealership? mine is squeaking to the point it is emabrassing and i want to replace it.
i've noticed mine only does it when it is warm and only sporadically at that, but when it does squeak it makes the car sound cheap. no one has done this on their own?
Hi, sorry to bring back an old thread, but I searched but didn't found the informations I was looking for. My SE-R clutch is pretty stiff but as I read on the internet, I think that all SE-R are like this. I just wanted to know, if I change my clutch for an Exedy stage 1, will the pedal feel be even stiffer? Is the stiffjess due to the clutch itself or the hydrolic system?
I drove my friend's Silvia with a ceramic clutch and the pedal felt really soft comparer to my car, so I tought maybe replacing the clutch will make it a bit softer
Thanks
