Every car is "car show material" just depends on the person viewing it. There are different classes at car shows for a reason. Saywat? is right in a way, stock cars probably not going to place 1st in a car show but you never know. Theres no harm in entering in the car show.

Depends on what car show obv. Dont take it to a classic one, but a import or one that has something from every year/era its good to go as long as its really clean.

I say do it! plus if its your companys car show it cant be to bad i wouldnt worry bout being laughed at. The SE-R is nice and i get ppl asking me questions all the time about it and giving compliments bout her. like the rest said just make sure you clean and detail her before hand.

I'm taking it, bottom line. The SE-R is an enthusiasts car, and car shows are all about people who are enthusiastic about the automotive world in general. It's an open class show, everything is welcome, so I'm taking it. It's perfectly detailed at all times, hell I use Quik Detailer after every drive I take. And the people who typically do the laughing at cars at car shows typically don't even have a car that's even CLOSE to the one they're laughing at.

Thanks to everyone's opinions, good and bad (saywat?).

This coming from the guy who's car was so clean at last years NWP meet that all the other Altima's looked dirty as a used condom.
One piece of advise to you SE-Rocket, find out what Mb23bca does to clean his engine bay or employ him to clean the car for you.
His engine bay looked so clean last year, I had no choice but to spend 3 hours cleaning mine so the car would look nice to me again.
lol.
Try Mothers Back to Black on everything black on the car and engine bay.
Including the hoses.

This was a friends red SE-R that he used to show. He even had metal floor mats in the interior. Looked great.
Hope you like.

What I use to clean under thoe hood is wipe everything down with some goo gone, then anything metal gets wiped down with my metal cleaner, then i take my interior clean and give all the plastics a good wipe. Comes out shining everytime, ie. my '93 Z still looks brand new...

And my alti doesnt look bad either...
