Want to buy an SE-R.... how much will I spend??

I'm looking into getting an Altima SE-R within the next 3-6 months and wanted to know what kind of price range I'm looking at and how much is TOO much.

I want a 2006, Smoke Metallic, 6 speed with 30k to 50k miles. I've seen some as low as $13,000 with 85k miles and some as high as $20,000 with 30k miles.

I found 2 SE-Rs that I'm interested in. One in Maryland and one in Georgia. The Maryland car has 51k miles and is going for $16,995 while the one in Georgia has 35k and is also going for $16,995. Instinct makes me go for the 35k SE-R in Georgia, but the one in Maryland comes back with a clean carfax while the one in Georgia comes back with just a carfax record check.

What's a reasonable asking price for the type of SE-R I'm looking for??

As much as you'd like! be careful with the transmission though. I'd say that is the weak point to take a closer look at with most used Nissans.

Make sure the one you get still has a considerable amount of power train warranty left if you are goin to pay alot! I paid 21,500 for my 06 that had 12,000 miles on it about a year ago.

I've got a 2006 Sheer Silver with the red inserts with 45,000 miles on it and am asking 18,000 for mine

I bought mines two years ago used 05 with 32k miles for under 17k

You should be able to negotiate a better price.

for a 06 with about 40k miles, 15k sounds reasonable.

paid 15.5k for mine w/ 43k in may of 08' (6spd)

MT's are a little harder to sell and better to negotiate since the buyer market isn't huge for a 6spd grocery getter.

I just bought a MT 92' civic with 120k for 1000 bucks. ( the new DD storing the alti )talked him down from 1500. /thread jack
