Well, you have about 40% of the equation, but like most, I guess its a learning curve. Lmao....Yes the 350Z IM is great, but its one of those "cross" mods that you have GOT to be and remain dedicated with. There is hp/tq to be gained, especially with the "correct" tune for the sum of the parts used, but man its not for the easily gratified performance minded person.

Ok, so now you are 85% correct, but its the last 15% that will honestly make or lose hp/tq. Any fool with money can buy all the parts an "eye candy" store sells but if he doesnt know what to do with them, its just "eye candy". Think of it like this....a purchaser selects 2 Image Dynamics ID12V3 subs with a power rating of 1500wrms, and a 3000wrms Alpine amp to power them, all while running 12ga speaker wire, and then he installs the subs in a free air configuration...... wonder whats wrong with this picture.

then its port matching, and if it is then thats included in grinding Lol, you are going to tell me the other 15%, thanks Lawrence buddy!
You refer to it in audio terms, i have no clue about audio lmao...
No its not port matching because yes that is included with head work...lmao... Its matching the RIGHT combination of parts together in order to achieve the desired results. Just because something is name brand this and that doesnt mean you will have the greatest hp etc. Many people have actually lost power modding this way. An engine builder's knowledge is extremely valuable with this. Their is NO WAY the ID subs will ever perform the way they were designed to in a free air setup. 1st off they wont be able to handle the full 3000wrms without destroying themselves, and they certainly wont play as low as they were designed. Our engines are the same. Every part added has to compliment ALL the others or its potentially just money wasted. Port to much, and you will defeat the reason for porting in the first place. Have too big of pistons, a 4" intake yadda yadda, and no fuel or extra spark to tune with, and all you will have is a nice list of parts on paper with no real performance gain. No secret, just grossly over looked and under appreciated. A sincere thanks goes out to Tuko for a few things he aided me with. I have been trying to "pay it forward" to those that will listen.

oh yeah i hear you ther, gotta have the right parts to compliment other parts to make them work to the best of their ability without sacrafices. I'll listen to anything you have to say lol
C8's dont necessarily REQUIRE head work. They require a built bottom end. Head work will just compliment those types of cams. anything in the 270 and up territory will require this. Intake mods are also very important.
I want to clear thia IP for people. I see a lot of hopes and dreams but no one has their facts straight. Just cause you slap on a bigger Cam doesnt mean your going to make more power. You habe to build around the Cam if you want to have a successful n/a build. Thats means the right headers, exhaust and intake. No one realizes that here and I dount anyone would or could properly do a full build.
Aaron: stock valves are strong as hell. You can rev them upto 9k. Ferrea are good if you want to guarantee the valves wont break (bad tune). Ferrea will only bend. your choice, just dont want to see you throwing money away on things thats not 100% necessary and concentrate on what is.

a sincere welcome to ya buddy.
Its gets tiring saying the same thing over and over. Seems like no one listens anyway and get caught up in the hype.
