2007 Altima 2.5 CVT--Code P0745?

I just replaced the engine in this car and am getting a code P0745 on the second restart. Did I forget to plug something in or do I have another problem? I spent the $75 for the CVT fluid and its full and doesn't seem to have any kind of problems driving but the light is on. Any input?

Thanks,

Craig

Yes. The customer severely overheated the engine driving it with a known coolant leak and ruined the engine. He wrecked it and drove it 150 miles and kept adding coolant but still ruined the engine. The oil was a nice milkshake color and it smoked really bad. Car has 1600 miles and Nissan refused to help him because he did it to himself. So he got another engine and I replaced it for him. Not a bad job but I have a check engine light which I am not sure if its something I did or if it was there before.

I need someone to tell me if this is a sensor that I may have just left unplugged or if its something else.

Thanks,

Craig

P0745 Pressure Control Solenoid Malfunction

Is the error that you received. You might want to check the Pressure Control Solenoid, with a new one and see if the code goes away. If it doesn't you got a pressure problem somewhere. If you don't want to try new take the Solenoid off of the one you took the motor out off and try that solenoid.

It sounds like you might have left something unplugged. I suppose go find out where the solenoid is located (hopefully not inside the transmission). If it is not unplugged, I would look at a pinched harness or a pulled out pin. If it wasn't there before, it's more than likely something you did caused it.

Most of those 700 codes are for the transmission. If I knew what that solenoid actually did, I could help you more.

Good luck.

ok, unless the valve got gummed up when the coolant started mixing, sounds like a disconnected sensor.

Well, it was mixing the coolant and the engine oil not the CVT fluid. I am wondering where that solenoid is. I am figuring I left it loose just need to know where it is located if anyone can tell me.

At 1600 miles wouldn't think there was anything wrong with the solenoid.

I'll go ahead and steer away from drivers that knowingly drive an overheating engine more than 100'. Not a lot of stock engines are going to stand up to that treatment.
