Exclamation Master Warning light

i noticed the master warning light on my dash and i was wondering what the prob could be... it looks like the triangle icon... on the left. (sometimes its off then goes back on... i do warm up the car for a long time tho.. thats when i noticed it)

i guess i have to go to the dealer to find out? the manual doesnt really elaborate anything... could it be the heater or something? i also noticed it sounding really loud like a vaccum (for like 20 seconds) almost when i went outside for a bit to try to figure out what it could be... is that normal to sound like that? i guess i shouldnt drive it till i get it checked out?

nissan altima 3.5SE 2007 bought new from canada

thanks

That came up when my display told me that I was running low on washer fluid.
It's just a general reminder that something needs to be addressed. toggle through the display to see if there are any alerts.

It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

usually the alert is up on the screen... and when you toggle through... that's how you tell it to shut up... i.e. when you're running "low" on gas... haha (which means you have just a little under a quarter tank )

does anyone know anything about the loud noise i heard when i went outside? is that normal for the heater to go on like that or something? it sounded like a vaccum almost (i think it was the heater? what else could make a noise like that??)

I call it "the warning sign" since it says "WARNING: IT'S ****ING COLD OUTSIDE"

Warming light, yeah I don't have to explain. Everybody explained it.

Regarding the vacuum like sound coming from outside, I'm pretty sure that it must be the heater/blower working. When I have the heater (I have auto climate) and when I go outside ... under the hoot .. near the windshield I can hear a similar vacuum sound.

My previous KIA and Sentra (almost all cars) had this plastic mesh kinda thing in between windshield and hood. You can see it clearly. I'm taking about the wiper blade resting place. When I turn on the heater or blower full blast I hear the suction sound from there. I think that's where the blower takes cold extra air or something, I dunno.

So with Altima I don't see such thing, but maybe somewhere around that under the hood. So vacuum sound might be that. Hope this helps ... or someone can correct ne if I'm wrong.

Well, I was wrong.

I was out earlier, and I now call it the "ALERT light", since it says "ALERT: IT'S ****ING COLD OUTSIDE", or "ALERT: GET SOME GAS YOU CHEAP ASSHOLE", or "ALERT: I NEED A CHECKUP DUMBASS"

Suction sound is probably the heater. Vacuum=no sound, because there is no air to transmit the sound.
