How to reset check engine light?

I changed my oil about 2 weeks ago and my check engine light just came on, I know it's set to turn on every however many miles sooo how do I turn it off? I can't find it anywhere online for some reason.
PS If it makes a difference I have a 2.5SL

Disconnect your battery for 5 minutes or so. I would still check the code though.

Go to autozone or whatever parts store is near you, have them pull the code and ask them if they can reset it for you. It would be a good idea to know what the code is even if you think nothing is wrong.

i think you're confusing ses and oil change reminder lights.
ses isn't supposed to come on unless there is a problem somewhere.

As Paul Newman said in the movie Cool Hand Luke, "What we've got here is a failure to communicate." Your question is not very specific.

Is your check engine light on, or as it is referred to in the owner's manual, the Malfunction Indicator light ( MIL )? If it is , it will say 'Service Engine Soon.' Refer to pages 2-13 and 2-14 of the owner's manual.

Or, is the Vehicle Information Display alerting you? Refer to pages 2-15 thru 2-19 of the owner's manual.

From your statement that you know it's set to turn on every however many miles.... I'm going to go out on a limb here and take a wild guess that it is simply the Information display. You can reset it yourself.

Read the owner's manual, it will become a trusted friend.
