AC drain clogged

The other day, I took my Altima sedan to the dealership to have some weatherstripping checked for leaks. At this same time, my AC drain hole decided to clog up and dumped water on my floorboard (good thing I was at the dealership so they could see this happen). I asked them if there was anything I could do myself to maintain a clean drain hole but they told me it was to complicated to get in there to maintain it. Is this true?

I fancy myself a decent mechanic so if there is a way to get in there and clean out a hole every once in a while, I'm willing to do so. Does anyone know the procedure to keep the hole clean and water out of my floorboard?

Thanks for any help

Take a look at picture number 9. You will see the black a/c drain line. If you have an air compressor, you can take the hose off at the top, and blow compressed air into the opening, and into the hose.

i just got a 2008 2.5 altima 6 spd manual in march... now i have never had a car with AC and when i picked this up i would drive with the AC and windows open. AC for everything. I drive about 30-45 min to work 4 days a week so AC on the entire time. i get in my car one day after work to find 2-3 inches of water on the back seat floor. i flipped out and called a close friend that is a nissan mechanic he gave me this suggestion. IT WORDED thank god... it took over a week for the carpets to dry even after vacuuming and leaving 3 dehumidifier's to help dry it out. thank you god for friends that are mechanics of the car you have
