Engine turns over but won't start

Hello everyone, hoping you can help me. I did a search prior to posting but didn't see anything exactly like what I am experiencing. I have a 2007 Altima S with 43k miles.

The car experienced no problems starting prior to today. Yesterday I started it, drove it, came home and parked without any hint of a problem. Today I went to start the car and the engine turns over very sluggishly but will not start. So far, I've checked the following:

Battery is OK
Fuel pump energizes on accessory mode
Fuel pump relay fuse is fine

Any suggestions on what to try next would be appreciated. I have the extended warranty with roadside assistance but if it's something simple I can check/replace myself I'd rather do that first before returning it to the dealership. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Not sure if that is the problem. I haven't gotten gas recently, I'm still at about 1/4 tank from the previous fill-up. At that time however when I did fill it up I got the gas at the BP station I have used almost exclusively since I purchased the car.

what's temperature been like outside where you live? and how do you know battery is ok? why i'm asking, battery might have juice left it in but not enough amps to crank it in cold temperatures, which what usually happens when batteries die.

hmmm... bp is usually good stuff... so i doubt that would be the problem then... the reason i asked was because i know a lot of people tend to go where gas is cheaper... and usually the cheapest gas around is a the murphy usa stations at walmart. that shit sucks... i know tons of people that have gotten bad gas at different murphy stations.
i use shell v-power... it's been great to me so far.

you may end up have'n 2 take it 2 nissan... they should give you a loaner car...

this is true... is it the same battery that came with the car? it could be time for a new one...

It's been about in the mid-thirties here where I live for the past week or so. I presumed that the battery is OK based on the fact that:

a) I haven't noticed any lack of cranking power even a few weeks ago when it was in the single digits.
b) it is turning over (in my opinion) strong enough to start.

I realize these aren't quantitative or measurable opinions but that's all I have to go by right now. I don't have another vehicle available to me right now to jump start it to completely rule out the battery.

I'd have to say battery as well, these batteries are known to go out prior to the 3yr mark. Take it up to auto zone and have them test it out for free.

The first thing to check is to make sure that there is no corrosion on the battery terminals.

Right!
Clean those battery posts and leads. Check battery level and fill with distilled water if low. Recharge battery and make sure that the engine accessory mode has not been mistakenly left on (Don't ask me why-lol).

Just went through this last month. This solved the problem.

Battery was the issue. I was able to get up to the auto parts store yesterday once my other car was back. It's funny because you drive old cars all your life you always think mechanical when a problem occurs, sometimes overlooking the obvious.

Thanks everyone for your assistance!

^Remove the corrosion as its likely the culprit here, a little baking soda + water or coca-cola (then rinse after with water) will take it right off.

Thanks everyone for your assistance!

keep in mind, in newer car the battery doesn't necessarily have to be dead for it to not start. I found it out the hard way myself when mine died going down the road. apparently (according to Nissan) if the battery isn't putting out 12V the car will shut itself down to protect the computer and other electronics.
