I traded my spec v in for the altima. Needed to slow down my driving and this did it lol. I dont plan on performance mods but have some basic questions. The chrome by the automatic shifter. Dont want to get it scratched so any ideas to coat it? Dont have the rear spoiler but saw a link for that. Want to replace the stereo with xm in it. Its a big opening and I know they make dash kits obviously but anyone use a double din unit? What complete systems have people added?
Just want to keep it looking good and maybe basic appearance stuff. First thing I before driving home from the dealership was coat the fabric and wax lol. Sat in the garage for a couple of days.

Check out the FAQ, there should be a thread for what you need to install a double DIN stereo. Check out the ICE section to find many stereo installs. There's even a multiple threads for sound deadening your ENTIRE car.

Search is your friend.

And what car did you get? What year, what engine, what trim? I assume 2.5S so you can slow down, and since you need an upgrade for stereo, it's not Bose and you have cloth interior.

As for the center console, I think you are the first person to ask that over the past 4.5 years of being on here with this current generation Altima, so I have no insight on that one. I'd say just avoid putting stuff down there and keep it clean.

Yep to all the above 2012 cloth 2.5 no bose. Already edited my post as I searched and found most my answers.

The stereo question wil give you a headache. You will get way more information than you want in the ICE forum as far as what stereo and setup to install. Those guys are really sharp and very knowledgeable (a little too knowledgeable for the normal person).
