Remote Starter Problems?

I apologize if this is a repeat thread but I searched for other posts on this topic and only was able to look through a few of the 175 pages of results.

I have an 08 Altima 3.5SL and no where in the owner's manual or the paper work or discussions at the dealership was it mentioned this car had a remote start.

The other nite it appears I inadvertently started the car remotely however it acted like it was going to start but failed to turn over. I tried again today and it again failed to turn over.

Pressing the lock button three times, is that all there is to starting the car? Do I need to hold it down on the third time? I'm about ready to call the Nissan dealership and telling them to fix it.

I didn't think it came with one either until this happened last evening, it acted like it wanted to turn over...It's quite odd...if it's not a remote starter than I'd like to know what it is, lol!

What Im thinking right now is that, since you own a SL model, It might have
been your windows trying to roll down. Press and Hold the unlock button for
3 seconds and your windows will roll down [ front ones]. But other than that, I have no idea
what it might be since the Altimas dont come with a remote start [Atleast I dont think].

Sounds like some sort of aftermarket remote start system.

Yeah altima's never came with a factory remote start that used the fob... Have you started your car before with the I-Key fob? You are using an OEM I-Key fob right? Has four buttons and the nissan burger on the bottom? Do you have any sources from where you read that you can start the car with the fob??
