Steering Wheel Swap - Airbag Cover

Hey guys, I recently grabbed a black leather steering wheel for my 07 2.5s on ebay for $21 in pretty good condition. The only problem is that I have the beige interior, so the airbag module in the middle of the steering wheel doesn't match the new steering wheel.

Does anyone know what type of material it's made of? I'm guessing it's a sort of vinyl, so would I be able to dye or paint it?

what color is it supposed to be?

duplicolor has a vinyl and fabric paint that works really good on plastic and vinyl

Well right now it's a light brown color, since I have the beige interior. I would like to make it black to match the steering wheel or it'll look very odd.

i think beige middle on a black wheel might look good. got a pick of your OEM wheel and airbag? ive never seen a beige interior altima yet

if you want it black definitely get that duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint as long as you prep the surface good it wont peel or flake off. ive only used it on hard plastic but im sure it will work on the softer vinyl airbag module. heres some info

I'll try installing the steering wheel first and see how it looks. My trim is covered in di-noc vinyl right now, so some of the interior is carbon fiber and I also have a leather shift knob.
