2012 Altima interior seat fabric wear

My new car (1 month old & 1700 miles) has a dark grey/black fabric, almost a terry cloth, is already showing wear. It's the type of fabric that picks up every little piece of lint. It's showing wear on the side of the driver's seat, almost a shiny contrast.
I'm afraid how it will look after a year.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Will it hold up and if it doesn't, is it covered under the warranty?

I won't be able to post a picture, I'm currently 150 miles away from my car visiting my folks, but it is the only fabric available for the 2012

It's black velour on the the bolster. The center fabric is a different material with a pattern.
I'm going to call Nissan and at least make them aware of it so it's on record. Then look at the cost of having a leather interior replacement.

well it should be the same as my frost interior in that the parts u rub have a different sheen/shine. its cause of the nap of the fibers and they get pushed in different directions. if you are seeling the mesh base then u do have a problem.
