Waiting for those window deflectors to hit stateside!
Someone at my work has an Alty I have never seen. It is a black 2.5SL, and has gold badging on the back. It also says "Special Edition" in gold on the back. It also has window deflectors. I have not yet found out who owns it, but I will try to find out where they got the window deflectors. BTW, this is in Mass...
canadiantj - that deflector was ordered directly from Nissan, I actually had to wait a week for the parts dept to get it in; the packaging and instructions of both parts are in Nissan's name; it's interesting the website's description says no tape but I know this is the only type you can get for the Altima at this time, and you can only get it through Nissan Canada
specboy - I don't know the cost of the roof rack, but you should definitely call the Canadian dealer first before driving 2 hours because they most likely don't have these stocked; I totally agree with you on the fact that accessories should be made available to both US and Canada; it seems to me that Nissan has always been very slow and lacking in making any kind of accessories for all the Nissan cars; a few weeks ago, I got to see a 5" binder catalog of Honda accessories for their entire car lineup - it was flipping unbelievable; maybe Nissan just don't want to be bothered with spending the time and money in developing these things
Yeah, I'd make sure they were there before making the trip, unles I was on Vacation, then I might just stop in.
I can understand a company wanting to make limited components for a vehicle but when you do already make them for one market, why not make them available to every market? It's not like the US is any further away from where these things are made. At least make them orderable.

The hood deflector can be ordered and will arrive at the dealership the next day on most local purchases, maybe two business days for outer city limits. It costs CAD$89.95. I suggest you guys call the parts dept one day before driving up to a Canadian dealership so you are guaranteed the part is available for pickup.
I don't know if US buyers will pay sales taxes. I'm still thinking if I'm gonna order one for my car.

US buyer will have to pay sales tax in Canada unless you have a Canadian business PST tax number. Sales tax in Canada is about 14% and if you have any one item over $50, I believe you can submit a claim via mail including the receipt to Revenue Canada to get 7% tax back (probably not worth the hassle). Also do not forget that you MAY have to pay some kind of customs duty tax on the item when bringing it back to US. This all depends on how nice the custom officer is at the border. You can also just get it installed in Canada and drive it back, and don't tell them you just bought it.
I even asked my friend that works at the Vancouver Nissan dealer if they will do mail order to the US for these items, and he said 'no', only local pick up.
To help anyone who wants to pick one up in Canada, the part numbers are:
2007 Nissan Altima hood protector: 99998-00207
2007 Nissan Altima window deflector: 99998-SWL32

Looks good. The hood deflector looks a bit beefy IMO. Maybe it stands out more because the color of your car? The side Window deflectors look sharp. Thanks for posting the pics.

BlackAlt07 - I should have been more detailed in my description. There are no holes drilled into the hood. The screw gets screwed into a metal clip and plastic bumper which will grab the deflector tightly. Everything is 100% removable.

i coulda swore that word on the street was that the deflectors just slide into the window thingy thing (the correct word slipped my mind ) and that there was no 3m involved.
back on topic, those deflectors do look sharp, especially on a white alti, but the hood deflector does seem a bit beefy, maybe if it was like a lip spoiler for the hood it would look better. imo hood deflectors go onto suvs.
id def look into buying the window deflectors
the hood one though, i dont think id be into
i have a Black altima.......u wouldnt even see it & im not sure i would want it anyway
