When installing my HIDs tonight I noticed there was a terminated plug inside the bumper cover, almost directly behind the license plate. It is held in place with a clip. Anyone see this on their car? What is it for?

I believe that plug is for your outside temp on your dash.

i think the referring switch is the OEM stalk which comes with the fog on/off switch. so you dont have to have a non-oem / user-installed type of red switch oon side of your dash.

for better understanding, search for a thread which had some similar thread "ebay fog light 89.99" or something. i know thats not the exact thread title, at least you can grab the keywords.

Here is what you need. Go to bankstonnissanparts.com and order the combo switch w/fog (110.00) or so. Next go to ebay.com and buy the 07 08 Fog light pair for (159.00). Next get your self some H11 bulb sockets (2) and some low voltage wire and will have all of the hardware. Next install the fogs and run the positive wires to 86 and 87 on your junction box. Now, install the new combo switch (stalk). Three screws, very easy. Done. Not very hard. If anyone wants more detail as to where or what part numbers to get please feel free to PM me. Thanks.

I can barely tell if thats a fuse box, let alone see the pin needed to check for prewired fogs.

Its hard to tell based on your pic because wire is blocking the view of the connector.
Slide wire to the left and take a pic. Then I can tell you.

Dude, take the picture during the day. The flash is obscuring the photos. First locate the cover pannel of the fuse junction box. If you look carefully you can see written on the inside of the cover (find fog lights), the fuses seem to be there for everyone but. I Belive they are located right next to your low beam wires. There are two empty places where wires could feed out of. These places are the 86 and 87 wire locations. No wires, not prewired. Not to worry as I explained in my previous post. This only saves you time and some little money. If not prewired order the stalk or combo swich, order the fog lights from ebay retailer with wire or without. Go to work and get them installed. My local dealer told me. When a customer requests fog lights to be added, they hire an outfit to facilitate the installation. And get this. They said they don't use Nissan parts for their installation. Go figure. Sure, some of these updates to our cars seem daunting at first. Not to be confused with being difficult. Marriage, that is difficult. Just analyze the task, break it down to science.

Ciao for now.
