Weird sound while in brake

When i come to a full stop and slightly release the brake (like 5%) i can hear this weird sounds and i can repeat the sounds again by fully pressing on the brake and gently releasing (within 5%-10%) im not sure why its making this noise but it almost sounds like it needs oil or lubrication... and its strange bc i just came back from krown rust protection so i highly doubt it needs it.

anyone know whats going on? (i dont think its the brakes) i have less than 3800 km (purchased new)

thanks in advance

If the car is still in warranty take it to the dealer, it's a known issue and they have a fix for it. My car had a brake pedal squeak too and they fixed it by replacing either a bushing in the pedal mechanism or the whole pedal itself...

Is the noise coming from the brakes or the pedal? If from the brakes its normal due to condensation, if its the pedal take it to the dealer and let them fix it.

there is your answer. krown rust chemical got on rotors and making this nasty creaking metal sound that's typical with saturated disk brakes. it'll go away after a few good stops.
also happens sometimes when after you've been to automatic car wash and got waxed.

Thanks for everyones answers. although i do believe krown's stuff may also contribute to the brake sound... i forgot to mention that i have heard the same sounds before when it was never had krown's rust protection. missouriguy1973 had it right that its a known issue... the dealer replaced something and now its smooth and theres no sound

Didnt mean to post this in this thread too. I guess you cant delete a post on this site?

I have noticed the grinding noise too exactly as listed above. We took it to the local dealer today and they gave us some lame ass excuse that the city used a saw dust mix with the sand during our bad snow days and it gets "packed" into the rotor causing the grinding noise. I do all brake work myself and have heard this noise before on other cars but only when the rotors or pads were severly worn and needed to be replaced. We have around 5,000 miles on our car. I wish I would have gone instead of my wife.
Now with all of that said does anyone have any idea what if any fix there is? I have seen the service bulletins for squealing on 07 and 08 years but have yet to see anything on the 09 with a grinding noise. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated so that I can go back to the dealer myself and present them with the issue.
