My backup lights were not LED. In the picture you can see the difference. The driver side is LED, passenger is the original bulb.
In the original post I didn't see an LED match for the light in the trunk. It is a 194 bulb that I replaced with one of those 6K white SMT 5 LED lights.

are the new led reverse bulbs any brighter than stock? i remember talking with people on the forum a while ago and they said that they were dimmer so the only real upgrade is the color. thoughts?

They are brighter, you can clearly tell the difference, but I don't think they light up any more than the stock ones, if that makes any sense. The distance they light up is about the same as the stock ones.

I was able to pull the little light bulb out, but then I had a hard time putting the LED bulb back in, so I ended up removing the glove box to put the new bulb in

LEDs light output is the same, the difference being in the color

They take a bit to replace, wouldn't do it again

hard to replace? don't you just have to remove the taillights and unscrew the bulb plug and swap the bulb?

didn't say hard. let me put it this way - want to change something in the back for effect? don't bother with the reverse lights but change the license plate lights - think they are 194

Yeah I think the only thing worth changing in the back is the license plate lights, to me the reverse lights isn't really worth it, it still looks the same to me lol

yeah that's what i figured, which is why i asked if they were noticably brighter, because if it's just for the color then i figured it's not worth changing them

The electrical in this one is intriguing. The map / door lights stay dim, unlike in the infiniti.

How did you guys solve the issue ? Input a series resistor to eliminate the drop ?

I just dealt with it. It isn't bright enough to cause issues. What you could do is cheat and put the blue colored bulbs in the back (or just one of them). That'll offset the resistance and eliminate the dim problem.

No, the bulbs are all the same, they just light up different colors.

Tony is clear on the model that is needed. But I am still not clear in the quantities of each type of bulb for the sedan.
