2011 tire choices stock rims

I'm shopping for tires and can not find many reviews on the coupes, i'm looking for a tire that will do good on wet surfices and can handle highway miles. Only tire i have found on here with some reviews is the Bridgestone potenza G019, i'm also looking at BF Goodrich, Yokohama, etc. What are some of the favorites or what do you guys recommend? I'm also thinking about going to the 235-50-17, any thoughts on that?

235/50 is wider than your stock 215/55, sidewall is.... thinner slightly.

Your spedo will read .1 mph faster than it should, overall diameter is smaller.

Michelin MXV4 is good. Expensive though.

Yokohama ADVAN S4 is really good, does not last long though since it's a high performance tire.

Edit:

Forgot to ask, will you encounter snow? What are your preferences? Performance? Quietness? Comfort? Treadlife?

Worried about price?

Not much snow at all, and i'm looking for treadlife more than anything, but i want something good for driving in rain. If i'm going to spend a lot i would like it to last awhile, this is a daily driver.

Michelin MXM4...bad for deep snow though.

dont know if its in your size but Continental contact DWS are real good tires. I put 4 on my sisters car and she's very happy with them. Your best bet is to look at tire reviews on tirerack and decide for yourself..

contenental has that tire in the 235/50/17 and i found good reviews on it as well, looks like it might not last as long as the Michelin tires though.

You pay a very pretty penny for the michelins though

With stock size, you get the best MPG. Wider tires = more resistance. However more traction.
